Perform these simple steps to determine if your TI-5000EX resolver hardware is in need of
inspection. You will need the TI-3011 resolver breakout board and two clip leads to complete this
series of tests.

OPERATION
1. Set your resolver excitation output to 4,010Hz and 3.5V. Make sure the tester is powered
on and communicating, and that no resolver feedback is connected.
2. Connect EXC-to-COS with one clip lead, and SIN-to-GND with the other. The resulting
angle should be 0 degrees with listed voltage outputs.
3. Connect EXC-to-SIN with one clip lead, and COS-to-GND with the other. The resulting
angle should be 90 degrees with listed voltage outputs.
4. Connect EXC-to-COS with one clip lead, and EXC-to-SIN with the other. The resulting
angle should be 45 degrees with listed voltage outputs.
5. Connect EXC*-to-COS with one clip lead, and EXC*-to-SIN with the other. The resulting
angle should be 225 degrees with listed voltage outputs.
Notes:
If any of the resulting voltages or angles do not agree, please contact us at support@mitchellelectronics.com for further assistance. If you plan to return the unit, make sure to first obtain an RMA number: http://www.mitchell-electronics.com/rma
