Overview
These are permanent-magnet synchronous motors that will normally come equipped with an incremental encoder, 2500ppr (10,000 count) or a BiSS absolute encoder with 20 bit single turn and 12 bit multi-turn.
General Information
Image 1. "Nameplate Configuration".
The "L" encoder appears to be using the BiSS protocol and the "A" type encoder can be tested with the software selection as "Generic Incremental".

- Note: For the "Absolute Encoder" notice how it's a 20 bit + 12 bit, our software would normally list it as "1220" however we don't have that option yet so the "1219 BiSS Serial Encoder" selection would work best.
Connection
We currently don't have a matching test cable for the 8 pin connector it will be best to wire the encoder directly to our tester. Below you will find the connection configuration for both type of encoders. For the BiSS encoders, our TI-5079 test cable is often the correct match for a direct connection to the encoder.
