GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Advanced Motion Controls (AMC) amplifiers require some modifications before they can be used with our TI-3000JX system. If you receive your amplifier when purchasing the TI-3000JX, or as a replacement amplifier from Mitchell Electronics, Inc., these modifications will have already been included. However, if you purchase a new or replacement amplifier directly from AMC you will need the Mitchell Electronics, Inc. TI-3012C hardware bundle which includes the extra components required to properly setup the amplifier using this document.
OPERATION
- Change SW1 and SW2 dipswitch settings to those shown in the table below.
- Connect the TI-3013 shunt jumper to amplifier C2 terminals 4 and 5, which activates the amplifier’s internal resistor.
- Connect the TI-3007C motor quick change cable to amplifier P3 terminals.
Motor A = RED, Motor B = WHITE, Motor C = BLACK, Frame Ground screw = ring terminal. - Connect TI-3004C commutation pulse cable to amplifier P2, then the other end to J10 on TI-3000JX.
- Connect TI-3006C speed command pot to amplifier P1.
- Connect the AC line phases and ground to the C1 terminals. The amplifier supports single-phase (pictured) or 3-phase, 50/60Hz, max 270 VAC. If using single-phase, any two of the three AC inputs can be used.
- Place the TI-3014C terminal covers over the C1 and C2 terminals as a safety measure to help prevent accidental contact. You may need to trim the C2 terminal cover depending on your shunt jumper orientation.
