Below is a list of Hengstler encoders that can be used as reference for servomotor feedback systems. These are all from Hengstler's own sites or product datasheets and describe various incremental and absolute encoders that we find on servo motors.
Rotary Incremental Encoders
Hengstler offers a wide variety of ABZ incremental encoders. They come in many different sizes with various shaft options, number of pulses, outputs, and connections available. These are commonly found under the RI series encoders, for Rotary Incremental. Here is a listing of their many offerings along with a sample model breakdown.
RI30-O, RI32-O, RI36-O, RI36-H, RI38-O, RI41-O, RI42-O, RI58-D, RI58-O, RI58-T, RI58-G, RI58TG, RI58-F, RI58-H, RI-64, RI76TD, RI59-O, RX70TI, RX71TI ATEX.
The Hengstler S21 encoder provides unique Sin/Cos commutation used by Siemens drives, and are a direct replacement for Heidenhain ERN1387 encoders.

Absolute Encoders (BiSS and SSI serial protocol)
Absolute rotary encoders convert shaft rotation into a unique binary code that directly represents the shaft's position, providing accurate positional feedback. Unlike incremental encoders, they retain position information even after power loss, so no reset or re-homing is required when power is restored.
The bulk of the Hengstler absolute encoders we find in the servo motor world are using either BiSS or SSI protocol. They can come in various bit resolutions and may or may not have the capability of multi-turn counting.

Absolute Encoders - In Development (ACUROlink serial protocol)
These high-speed, wiring-saving serial encoders are being used on the newer Rexroth MS2N series servo motors. They can come in single-turn or multi-turn options, and can have various Safety ratings as well (SIL). They continue with the Rexroth tradition of storing motor nameplate data and a unique alignment in the encoder memory.
