The Indramat MAC motors all use a Hall effect sensor for commutation in addition to a DC tachometer. Some motors will also have an extra incremental encoder added on, like an Indramat/Heidenhain ROD or similar.
The TI-5042 feedback test cable and the TI-5105 module are used. This feedback test cable includes two 12 pin M23 connectors, one for the Hall/Tach sensor, and the other for the incremental encoder (not always included with motor). If run on the TI-3000JX with this cable and module, the DC tach voltage will be displayed on the screen during the run test. Otherwise, connect a multimeter to the Tach signals to see the voltage coming from it.

The TI-3038 power cable fits many of the MAC series.

Here is a datasheet showing the standard alignment of the Hall effect sensor.
